Colour festival

Last weekend there were a colour festival in Nepal (Holi). Where they celebrate one of the many Gods by throwing colour water and other stuff at eachother. Titten thought it were fun until eggs started to fly, and it kinda reminded him of a war in high school under graduation (russetid). colours are fun!
Titten after the color festival. so he had to wash himself on the street to be able to drive the rest of the way

The top of the world

Breattaking. Can you find Everest??????
Feel the power form the top of the world!

View from The plane, of Mt. Everest and the himalayas.

Today my mother, grandmother and me went on an mountain flight with buddair to see Mt Everest. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and is highly recommended if you ever visit Nepal, something you should.

Kathmandu- Dirty, messy and charming

Kathmandu from a helicopter
Titten from Kathmandu tower (a little Kardemommeby tower for the people knowing the Norwegian childbook)

Kathmandu a dirty city. When there is garbage strike the whole city turns into heaven

A warm smile and sweet words meet you “Namaste, welcome to Nepal”

You start your trip from Kathmandu, a big charming chaos, with happy, respectable and hospital people, but a city and a country with problems the western world not even know what means anymore.

In one second in Kathmandu you can use all your senses: You drag in a dose with pollution at the same time you can feel the smell from the rivers and hear the horning from the drivers, and in the background you can see the shale brick fabrics vomiting out pollution.

The rivers are the worst, they smell like hell. Not long ago a little girl thought it where solid ground there, and she sunk down in the big black smelly soup of pollution, crap, pee, garbage and rests from the burning of corpses. The prettiest are the children. They are the prettiest i have seen ever, all of them. i want one.

Everything is so cheap. Except for fuel that has raised drastically lately. There have been shortage. The reason is that the goverment couldnt afford to subsid the prices any more. it created strikes. The result were that the goverment had to go back, but that there turned up tp be shorted supply and drivers needed to wait in kilometers line waiting more than 40 hours to get 10 liter with petrolium.

The beautiful Himalayas are suppose to be seen from the city. So far i havent seen them because of all the pollution. The citys problem is to high population growth. Four million people live on the limit to hunger every day.
